Kit Harington, exhausted at nahirapang bumitaw bilang Jon Snow sa ‘Games of Thrones’; sikretong pumasok sa isang luxury rehab

SIKRETONG pumasok sa isang luxury rehab for stress and alcohol use ang Game of Thrones star na si Kit Harington.

Known globally for his role as Jon Snow in GoT, pumasok sa naturang rehab ang 32-year old British actor pagkatapos kunan ang huling eksena niya sa epic HBO series.

Ayon sa report ng Page Six, “exhausted” ang actor and working on the series for eight years “really hit him hard”.

Bago mag-end ang GoT noong nakaraang May 19, nasa Connecticut heath retreat Privé-Swiss si Kit a month before undergoing psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy “to combat stress and deal with negative emotions”.

A stay at the said facility cost $120,000 a month.

Ang misis ni Kit na si Rose Leslie, na nakilala niya sa set ng GoT and played the role of Ygritte, ay hindi nawala sa tabi nito throughout his rehab stay.

Sa isang kuwento ng kaibigan ni Kit sa Page Six: “The end of ‘GoT’ really hit Kit hard … he realized ‘this is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?

“He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.

“His wife Rose is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”

Ayon naman sa rep ng aktor: “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”

“I was very shocked and surprised at certain events and then I blubbed my eyes out. I cried,” kuwento ni Kit noong mag-guest ito sa The Jimmy Fallon Show a few weeks bago ang airing ng #TheFinalEpisode ng GoT.

Pinapayagan naman daw si Kit na lumabas ng rehab facility para makapag-connect sa ilang locals sa Connecticut. Nakikita nga raw itong pumupunta sa gym at sa isang local bookstore na RJ Julia Booksellers in the town of Madison, Connecticut.

Tuwing kukumustahin daw siya ng mga locals, sinasabi niya na “on holiday” na siya and he’s “feeling better”.

Ayon pa sa isang resident ng facility: “Kit looks really good and appears to be very focused on his health and wellness. I have personally seen him out in the community many times. I think it’s wonderful that he is taking time to take care of himself – more people should.”

Naging open naman si Kit sa kanyang mga pinagdaanang mabibigat na emotions habang ginagawa ang GoT sa isang interview with Esquire magazine.

“It wasn’t a very good time in my life. I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world when actually, I felt very vulnerable.

“I had a shaky time in my life around there — like I think a lot of people do in their 20s.

“My darkest period was when the show seemed to become so much about Jon when he died and came back. I really didn’t like the focus of the whole show coming onto Jon.

“When you become the cliffhanger of a TV show, and a TV show probably at the height of its power, the focus on you is f—–g terrifying.

“That was a time when I started therapy and started talking to people. I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn’t talking to anyone.

“My final day of shooting, I felt fine … I felt fine … I felt fine … then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit …Then they called ‘wrap’ and I just f—-g broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.

“But the weirdest bit was when we came off set and they started taking the costume off and it felt like being skinned … It felt like they were unceremoniously for the last time ripping off this character.”
